These are two of my favorite new pieces.  They both evoke a calm, and peaceful feeling.  I guess that's typical of all nature.

All of these are tiny little 6x6 oil paintings.  They provide a little bit of color and interest and don't take up a lot of space.  They are on canvas that is 1 1/2" deep so they can stand up on their own on a shelf or on top of a stack of books.

I have experimented a little with a softer palette of colors for some of my paintings.  Some homes need the softer approach.  I like these, and as you can tell, they are not TOO soft.....just soft-er.

It always makes me happy when someone buys a painting of mine for their kitchen.  Because I know how much time my family spends in MY kitchen.  I know they must like it to put it somewhere where they will be seeing it so much.

These are a couple of my new creations for the Red River Revel.  I can't believe I leave in 9 days!  Lots to do before then.  The top painting is from a photo that my daughter-in-law took on vacation this year.  This little guy kept creeping closer and closer.  Then he stopped to pose.  The one on the bottom is his colorful cousin.  (Pretty much made up the colors on him, so don't go looking for this species anywhere)

These are some more of my favorite subjects ready for the Revel.  One year I tried bringing more "new things" and after about 40 times being asked....."aren't you the tomato lady?"  and "didn't you have Tabasco paintings last year?"  I decided to always bring some of the tried and true with a mix of a bunch of new ones.  Last year I got the mix just right.  I hope I did this year, too.  (Really) New ones will be posting tomorrow.

I love this color so much that I painted my kitchen the same color.  I think this is a nostalgic painting. My research tells me this is an old Ford from the 50's.

This painting is from a photo I made when my husband and I were eating lunch at Mugshots one day. I had the painting with me at one of my shows and a lady saw it and commissioned one for her husband for their anniversary.  She chose beers that they had enjoyed during their courtship and early marriage.  Men are sometimes hard to buy for....What a great gift!

This is something I don't EVER do. I am running a sale on this painting. Normally if a painting hangs around for a while and just doesn't sell, I paint over it or something of that sort. But I love this painting. I want to see it go to a good home. These are three different views of the Grove on game day.  With football season firing up this will be a familiar sight to many.   Two of these paintings are still available, but one is gone to a forever home.  However, someone saw the one that sold before it sold and commissioned a similar one.  The owner is on her way to pick it up any minute as I write this...
